Fort podría reemplazar con bastante éxito a Fortran y qué más había allí en ese momento. No es tan difícil vivir con la notación postfija, apila y maneja un nivel justo por encima de las instrucciones de la máquina. También es importante que el resultado del proceso de trabajar en una tarea en Fort sea "no, bueno, al infierno, donde ya se ha hecho, es más fácil de cancelar", o una comprensión muy profunda de cada detalle y esencia de lo que está sucediendo.
Todo esto es filosofía, por supuesto. Sin embargo, puedo imaginar algún tipo de Fuerte numérico incluso ahora, en nuestro tiempo. Puede estar en algún lugar profundo del equipo de un astuto espectrómetro, detector ... Sería interesante saber dónde.
