Lo que vemos cuando nos sumergimos en el mundo del juego de un nuevo shooter, "aventura", "simulador", estrategia, "acción" y o cualquier otra cosa que te guste jugar allí después del trabajo, estudiar, en el trabajo en la escuela;)) y lo que atrae nuestra primera atención es el entorno y el mundo en el que nos encontramos: esta es la ubicación del juego.
Las ubicaciones pueden aparecer dinámicamente, como pequeñas piezas de un mundo enorme, abriendo gradualmente todo el mapa, como, por ejemplo, se hace en muchos juegos de mundo abierto en línea. Entre los más famosos se encuentran varias variaciones de MMORPG, como ArcheAge, Lost Ark, SkyForge, CrossOut, Dragon Knight 2, Rise of Angels , World Of Tanks .
