El objetivo principal de Patroni es proporcionar alta disponibilidad para PostgreSQL. Pero Patroni es solo una plantilla, no una herramienta lista para usar (que, en general, es lo que dice la documentación). Sí Sí. En muchas empresas modernas, Service Discovery es una parte integral de la infraestructura. Se está implementando incluso antes de que existiera una base de datos en la infraestructura. En términos relativos, la infraestructura se lanzó, se implementó en DC e inmediatamente tenemos Service Discovery. Si es Cónsul, entonces se puede construir DNS sobre él. Si es Etcd, entonces puede ser parte del clúster de Kubernetes, en el que se implementará todo lo demás. Me parece que Service Discovery ya es una parte integral de las infraestructuras modernas. Y la gente piensa en ello mucho antes que en las bases de datos.
